About Me

My journey with animals began over 12 years ago, when I started in a boarding kennels and cattery – since then I’ve had my own pet sitting and dog walking business, and worked within two large rescue organisations. It was during my time in rescue that I met some truly unforgettable dogs, many with complex behavioural needs. They challenged me, inspired me, and ultimately sparked my deep love for behaviour and training.

I found so much joy in supporting these dogs - researching, learning, and trying different approaches to help them feel safer and more confident. Seeing them grow and thrive was one of the most rewarding parts of my job, and it really confirmed for me that this was the path I wanted to follow.

A few years ago, I took the leap to study more formally. I completed my first course with COAPE International, earning a Certificate in Animal Training (with top marks!), and I’m now working towards my Diploma in Animal Behaviour, expanding my knowledge across a range of species. While I currently focus on working with dogs, I hope to broaden my services in the future to support more animals in need.

When I’m not working with clients and their pets, I’m usually surrounded by my own little crew! I share my home with two sweet rabbits, a semi-feral (and perfectly named) cat called Pepper, and my not-so-little sidekicks: Teddy, a giant schnauzer-cross who keeps life full of energy and laughs, and Moss, our newest addition - a border collie who’s equal parts cuddly and chaotic. They keep me on my toes and constantly remind me why I love what I do.

My animals are truly my world. They inspire me every day to make their lives as enriching and joyful as possible. I’ve developed a real love for enrichment activities that allow them to express natural behaviours - and the best part? I get to be as creative as I like!

And when I need a bit of time to recharge, you’ll probably find me in the Lake District, surrounded by nature and taking it all in (and usually getting a little lost in the process!).
