1-1 Behaviour Support

Behaviour can be influenced by many factors, including an animal's emotional state, physical health, past experiences, environment and daily routine.

Whether you're concerned about fear, anxiety, reactivity, aggression, separation-related behaviours or difficulties adjusting to change, behaviour support can help you better understand what your animal is communicating and identify practical ways to improve their welfare and quality of life.

My consultations are tailored to the individual animal and the people who care for them, recognising that every situation is unique.

What to Expect

Before Your Consultation

You'll be asked to complete a detailed history form, allowing me to gain a better understanding of your animal, their environment and the challenges you're experiencing.

In some cases, I may request video footage of the behaviour where it is safe and appropriate to do so.

Where relevant, I may also recommend involving your veterinary team to ensure any underlying health considerations have been explored.

During Your Consultation

We'll discuss your concerns in detail and explore the factors that may be influencing your animal's behaviour.

This includes looking at:

  • Behavioural history

  • Daily routines

  • Environmental influences

  • Emotional wellbeing

  • Learning experiences

  • Welfare and health considerations

The aim is to build a complete picture of the individual animal rather than focusing solely on the behaviour itself.

After Your Consultation

Following the consultation, you'll receive personalised recommendations and a behaviour support plan tailored to your circumstances.

This may include:

  • Environmental management strategies

  • Behaviour modification recommendations

  • Welfare and enrichment guidance

  • Confidence-building exercises

  • Practical support for everyday situations

Ongoing Support

Behaviour change is rarely an overnight process.

Follow-up consultations are available to review progress, troubleshoot challenges and adjust recommendations as needed.

The level of support required will vary depending on the individual animal and the complexity of the case.
