Veterinary Referrals

I welcome referrals from veterinary professionals for companion animals experiencing behavioural and emotional challenges.

My work focuses on understanding the factors influencing behaviour and providing practical, welfare-focused support tailored to the individual animal and their caregivers.

Working Collaboratively to Support Animal Welfare

Behaviour is influenced by a complex interaction of emotional, environmental and physical factors. As such, I believe the best outcomes are often achieved through collaboration between caregivers, behaviour professionals and veterinary teams.

Where appropriate, and with client consent, I am happy to liaise with the referring practice throughout the support process.

What to Expect Following Referral

Following referral, caregivers are asked to complete a detailed behavioural history questionnaire before attending a behaviour consultation.

The consultation explores the animal's history, environment, welfare and behavioural presentation in order to build a thorough understanding of the factors influencing behaviour.

Following assessment, caregivers receive tailored recommendations and an individualised behaviour support plan. Ongoing support is available where appropriate.
